Weeks 1-3

Learn the fundamentals of AI & ML through online, live lectures and code walkthroughs.

Program Timeline

Week 5

Continue literature review and submit research proposal.

Weeks 7-10

Work on research paper and submit the first draft.

After 12 weeks

Work with our team to submit your research paper to journals and conferences.

Week 4

Meet your project groups and finalize research idea and start literature review.

Week 6

Work on data collection and research paper outline. Submit Exploratory data analysis.

Structure

Mentorship

The AI University Research Fellowship is a 12-week online program with two weekly meetings.

  • Meetings with expert mentors

  • ~8-10 hours per week

  • Small groups of 3-4 students

  • A dedicated mentor for each group to guide them through the entire process

Students will receive mentorship from experts to create a novel, feasible, and impactful research project. Mentors guide students through the entire process:

  • Research ideation and literature review

  • Code implementation and model training

  • Drafting the research proposal

  • Submitting to conferences/journals

  • The program is entirely online.

  • Our program is available to undergraduate students worldwide.

  • Our program will be in Python, but you do not need Python experience as long as you have programmed in another language (e.g Java). We will send you some resources to pre-study Python before the program if required.

    Experience with AI is not necessary; we will teach the AI fundamentals necessary for our research program.

  • The program is expected to be 8-10 hours per week with flexibility for further exploration.

  • The program cost is $3300 with merit based scholarships available.

  • You will work with our team to submit your research paper to journals and conferences like NeurIPS, ACL, NAACL, JID, ACS Clinical Congress, and more.
